Loaded up my backpack today with two 5-liter jugs of water for resistance and set off along the Cornish coast for some endurance training – these are some pictures of where I was.  Stunning 🙂

That big rock?…

Another gallery – this time, just down the road from our caravan in Porth, Cornwall.  That big rock?  I’m going to climb it this year come summer 🙂

Home…

Got to Cornwall day before yesterday. Absolutely beautiful drive, even got to play a “guess the song” game courtesy of BBC Oxford. Somehow I think my accent got me through 😛

Woke up the first day and it’s snowing! At s seaside town! Who’d have thunk it. Settling in now. Looking forward to hitting the gym when money permits. In the meantime, plenty of hills to train on 🙂 🙂 🙂

Gratitude

Be grateful to be alive.  Because one day you won’t be…

IMG_20180202_073324This was the view from our bedroom window at 7:30 am this morning.

On the surface, it doesn’t appear to be anything special – a simple photograph of the moon in the early hours.  But when you wake up to something so simple, if you allow it to be so, it can be the catalyst for a day of gratitude, progress and happiness.

I woke up and I smiled, because today is another day to be alive, to make progress, to make connections, to progress, to breathe, to eat, to smile, and to be happy.  And that, for me at least, is reason enough to get out of bed in the morning.  I have so much to be grateful for – I’m alive, well, happy, healthy, I’m becoming fit, I have goals.  Isn’t that enough?

Be grateful to be alive.  Because one day you won’t be.

Morning Motivation

I woke up, looked at the clouds, and…

Did a good workout today – my shoulders are a little burned, but I love it.  Because that’s one step closer to my goals – the Seven highest points on this beautiful planet 🙂

Here’s a great little 5-minute motivator you may enjoy 🙂

For the first time today (or the first time in a LONG time at any rate) I woke up, looked at the clouds, and I was grateful to be alive – alive to welcome another day on this wonderful planet, alive to say good morning to the love of my life, alive to love myself just a little bit more, and alive to take another step forward, never looking back.

Not a bad way to wake up in the morning 🙂
